Since 1894, the Cuyahoga County Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Monument has honored the more than 9,000 individuals from the county who served in the American Civil War.

This ceremony was live-streamed on May 30th, 2021 at the Cuyahoga County Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument in Downtown Cleveland, Ohio. Each year, the Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument conducts a ceremony in accordance with General John A. Logan's General Order No. 11 of the Grand Army of the Republic (1868). It was also the final day of the of Tim Daley's tenure as executive director of the monument. We extend our sincere congratulations to Tim as he begins his retirement after more than 12 years of service to the monument and to the community.
